Did they 'manipulate the system'?

Or did they take advantage of stupidity?

Once upon a time 'Wall Street' was barred from
the banking industry which was barred from the
securities and insurance industries . . .

There was a very good reason why Congress passed a law
segregating those industries.

Then the clowns in the congress repealed that law.

I have a hard time blaming Wall Street for doing what
comes natural . . . especially when I know that it
was the idiots in the congress which removed the
barriers which used to keep that sort of thing
from happening.

All that is really swell, however within the context of our discussion (Wall Street Scumbags), it misses the point - that being our institutions intended to raise and manage investment capital efficiently and fairly, not make insiders rich by manipulating the system.
