Hi tkc,

Look to the PC industry for the analogy.

First they needed to have TC baked in. I think that is where ARM comes in. ARM operates a bit like TCG. It writes the specs.

Second Wave chased the chip makers. Third, they ended up chasing the equipment OEMs.

So who are the big suppliers of chips? And who are the big suppliers of phones?

In this case, one of the key players operates in both the chip and the phone market. It is Samsung.

Wave has that relationship in place.

There's a second major phone OEM to pick off. That is Apple.

And then there's perhaps another one, in Nokia.

Will the roll out involve consumers, as some think? I don't think so to begin with. I think it starts with the enterprise.

Dig, I agree, I'm one of those "folks don't get it." Example: Awk's diagram of the ARM architecture shows Wave managing the TPM or some thingy. But ARM doesn't make the chips, they license chip makers the right use the ARM architecture. ARM's not paying Wave. Is there a contact w/ ARM? I don't think so. Thus Wave must not have exclusivity. So does BCOM, QCOM et al have a choice of vendors, including Wave, from whom to license that thingy? If so, we've only heard from Sammy. What are all the others doing? These ARM PCs and phones are nearing or in production. Is Wave's thingy for ARM patent protected? There is no clarity to me, in fact it appears deliberate omission, because it is not a slam dunk. So is the ARM explosion just another Wave opportunity? Or is it simply "I don't get it?"
