Interesting comment around 33 minute mark on acquisitions. He states they have weekly meetings and process is a long drawn out one.

I imagine since Moto went pure Android with their 2009 smart phone entry - Droid, they have been in talks with Moto for a looong time. Google acquired Android in 2005 at that time Moto had began its decline in the cell phone market share, and no entries in smart phone until Droid.

Google knows importance of "do no evil" and how to lobby elected officials. Good to see news of their "win" over Oracle, imo.
