it brings back your faux democracy notions. The first and primary vote in is ownership. Opportunities to vote again occur on every trading day. That a proxy comes up once a year places it in a situation where most voting has been done already, perhaps often, leaving only a very biased set to then go out and get all thoughtful and pluralistic.

Again, I point I think you have made in the past (or something like that).

however, watching the wavoids' unwillingness to permit change is instructive.

it tells me why it is difficult to change the status quo in the security market.

people have strong loyalties to what and whom they know.

seeing the reluctance of wavoids to do anything about the plank in their own eye, i guess they cannot complain overmuch about the motes elsewhere.
