re: "Newt Gingrich's campaign is $5 million dollars in the red"

Prior to this year, I respected what Newt Gingrich had previously accomplished. Then I got to know him and heard a lot more about how he got things done.

Good riddance. As President, he'd have been another Jimmy Carter - but without the likeability. A different plan for saving the world every week, and driving everyone around him crazy.

No, no, not the national deficit, that's bad enough.

This is about the deficit that one of the chief critics of the deficit managed to rack up in his abbreviated run for the Presidency.

Newt Gingrich's campaign is $5 million dollars in the red, leaving actual companies with actual employees empty-handed, as he ran around the country advising people what a horrible thing it is for the government to run a deficit.

A million bucks to a small charter airline company. Hundreds of thousands for limos, meals, public relations, advertising. Nearly $5 million in bills that will not be paid. Nice job Newt, living up to the high standards we all knew you kept.
