micro,
Am in a hurry this AM, but took a different route for which I'll look at yours more carefully later. I got hold of a command prompt, found the GPU files in
usersBAPappdata oamingfolding@home-gpu. The familiar files including client.cfg were there so I deleted them. This allowed me to install and set the 3 tabs. Executing got me only to 0/0 even though it started a project. I'll try to post the log. Meanwhile nothing is happening. I had stopped SMP, but will start it again till I can get back to this.

Hi BAP,

Yes, the unfamiliarity with Windows 7 versus the comfort zone of XP.

I went through that as well and am still groping my way through windows 7 as well.

HOWEVER,

to get to the ADD/REMOVE programs in the CONTROL PANEL

Click on the PROGRAMS or START button at the bottom left of your desktop screen.

Click on CONTROL PANEL on the right side of that window.

When the control panel opens, on your left should be an option to change it to classic view. Do so.

You will see in the control panel icons and names of the tools there. Look down until you come to one named "PROGRAMS"

That is what yo want.

Find your GPU folding program in there and right click on it and select remove or uninstall or whatever it says along those lines. I am going by memory right ow.

To find that file ArVee is talking about you need to right click on the start button and select EXPLORE.

Open the C drive/programs/ GPU folding and click on ADVANCED USERS ONLY.

In the window you will see several FILESlisted.
A UNIT INFO file, QUEUE, and the one ArVee was talking about.

I would simply delete them all if they are there and then reboot. Try re-installing the software after that.

Let us know!

the best,

micro...
