What I was trying to say, and failed, was that sometimes the pipe doesn't need to be replaced but just fixed in that the people who were calling for the replacecement were going to far, and that sometimes the leaky pipe has caused irreparable damage far beyond what either group may have imagined. Not sure where Wave falls in but it's looking more and more like mold damage. As for the wild animals, crack smokers and sea captains(whom I'm picturing with huge sideburns), I had assingned no real meaning to that part of my post.

Hi wavydog,

Good effort.

But you are saying the pipe may need to be "repaired", and that is my argument. A pipe doesn't get repaired by symbollism. It gets repaired by fixing what is wrong.

As for the mold eating wild animals, they are in the house because the pipe is broken. So you have to fix the pipe.

Good effort. No cigar! ;-)
