Hi dig,

if you can persuade anyone of anything using mere words you are a miracle worker.

I think the only way I have ever persuaded anyone is by them forgetting they had the idea from me and thinking it was their own.

Certain ideas simply cannot be overturned. The dogma is too deeply ingrained. Where the logic of an argument overwhelms the tenets of a dogma, the retreat is to silence rather than acquiescence.

It the art of persuasion the game if half-over if one is leading towards what another wants to believe. There is a reason why folks, even with considerable training, still require blind and double-blind studies.
