McCain & Huckabee know him well enough to have a visceral dislike of him.

Now I'll look into that. Thank you. I find it hard to believe, though. The Republican who seemed to be universally hated by peers was Gingrich, not Romney.

Romney's a nice guy. I can't imagine anyone who gets to know him actually disliking him.
