clo,

re: "'Money' in elections, especially corporate money has ruined our Republic."

You're probably right.

Look where Mitt Romney is getting his campaign money. Corporations. Goldman Sachs.

Look where Obama is getting his campaign money. Corporations. Goldman Sachs.

Look where Ron Paul is getting his campaign money.

Hmmmmm.

Who are YOU supporting, clo, and how can you resolve your decision with the statement you just made about what's ruining the country?

*I*, by the way, am not voting for a corporate candidate. But then, I haven't sold out. It seems to me that you have.

Decomp,

I think you miss the major problem, 'money' in elections.
Sadly, individual(s) voters have very little to do with the outcome.
'Money' in elections, especially corporate money has ruined our Republic.

Unless this is changed, (which politicians are willing to do this when they depend on the money) We the people are totally screwed....

By the way, think back, during the Vietnam war how many men were drafted & GAVE THEIR LIVES...
You can't GIVE MORE THAN THAT!!!
Keep that in mind with your 'free society theory'.
