And Native Americans born in this country, men or women, were not even recognized as citizens, let alone given the right vote, until well after WWI.

I disagree.

Nothing as important as the Constitution should stay static when there are many changes.

The Founding Fathers, were human & made mistakes.
Consider their stance on women & Blacks.
Blacks were not afforded the right to vote until 1869. Women couldn't until 1920.

Anyone living in a community HAS a vested interest.
