Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

'The Generics' played for an hour Saturday at a local charity event. They made a number of mistakes, but for 7th and 8th graders giving their first true 'concert,' I think they did great.

I wish the audio - especially for the lead singer (not always my son) - had been better. They were very hard to hear, though there's a silver lining to that: My son was sick as a dog, and his voice was totally shot. Fortunately, on Twist and Shout, that almost makes it better. But on their other songs? Well... not so much!

I'll post additional songs in the days to come. As you'll see, audio and my son's voice weren't the only problems. The drummer often couldn't hold a beat, bandmembers ceased playing when they forgot what came next, stage presence needs to be developed, and my boy needs to take learning his lyrics FAR more seriously.

These are lessons to learn by. Next time, they'll be better.
