"They will learn, eventually - but only when it is too late to do anything about it, I think. "

That's the sad part. The truth is right in front of their faces, They just need to WANT to see it. The ol saying. Ya can lead a horse to water. but even ribit can't get them to drink LOL

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

“We desperately need a break ... If my pension is cut again, I might as well commit suicide,” says Angelos Syrigos, 85, whose modest income has been slashed by 30 per cent in the two years since the bailout began.

Greece is foreshadowing America's own future. I feel so sorry for the elderly who will be in the same position as this 85 year old Greek. If only folks would use their heads TODAY and prepare for this NOW, when there's still time, many would be okay.

But they won't. There are too many liars in positions of authority assuring them that everything is going to be fine. And, overwhelmingly, Americans are SHEEP, far too willing to believe and do as they're told. They will learn, eventually - but only when it is too late to do anything about it, I think.
