"This music was recorded by Voyager I and II as they crossed paths with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. They weren't captured with a microphone: Audible sound can't travel through space, so Voyager was listening to the electromagnetic waves around the planets and moons"

The real point being the sound waves were electro magnetic,
fields of magnetism & fields of electricity......gravitational
fields have yet to be detected in our gravitational universe...Smile

Hi doma,

Yes. It was unfortunate. This is one reason I also mentioned the influence of Ptolemy.

Kepler had one foot in the astrological/mythical world and another in the mathematical one. He was convinced that somehow he could fit the various kinds of regular geometric solids inside the orbits of the planets and wasted years trying to fit them. He did so because he was looking for the mathematical elegance he presumed a creator must have imposed.

Unfortunately, the geometries don't quite work the way he wanted them to.

It's a mistake to become excessively romantic about nature. It tends to bite.
