Hi alea,

I think the same observation might be made about every president, at least the presidents in my lifetime.

In my bizarro world I see Romney as less of a jerk than Obama and, assuming Ron Paul doesn't pull off a miricle, I will hate doing every thing I possibly can do to get Romney elected.

Pondering a moment further, isn't it a bit presumptuous to describe someone's life as not experiencing pain/and vulnerabilty and therefore that he cannot have compassion? That doesn't seem fair to me, but then I don't know Romney personally.

Hi clo,

I see him less as a jerk and more as hopelessly inexperienced with life as others experience it.

If you haven't experienced pain and/or vulnerability, you cannot have compassion.
