This the first public company I am aware of that has elected to remove the CFO's link to the chief executive. IDCC now has the chief financial guy reporting to another financial guy, who IS NOT the chief, who reports to the chief executive. Therefore, our CFO is the 'chief' of what? The only reason I can see for this change is internal reward.
I am not reading anything else into this other than the boys figured out a way to toss a few more shekels at the team. At IDCC nothing has really changed IMO...other than raises and new potential bonuses. The future is in the CAFC's hands.
