I feel sorry for those who try to defend SS.
They get to rely on his pipeline which is always long and broad, but somehow invariably seems to be empty in the quarter in question.
For myself, I think it is time for SS to step into a technological rather than an executive role. I can't see how a guy who is so poor at forecasting demand can run a putatively emerging company. SS's excessive confidence is the well-spring for Wave's performance failures, in my view.
I don't have any faith in his 2012 forecast. $50m. $60m. What a mess.
I would like there to be someone else running Wave who has a stronger handle on forecasting demand.
