Hi Alea....

How it got there is not the point....the point is it's
there...but because it doesn't fit anywhere with the
conventional wisdom it's simply ignored.....

So a giant is running from a volcanic eruption,perhaps
there was enough crust on the surface like a fire walker
can use ash to insulate the heat..........

you could make up a few plausible scenarios....perhaps
that was his last step...?

Hi doma,

If granite is an igneous rock, I am not sure you can leave a footprint without having your foot burned clean off. Wouldn't you expect a footprint to be formed in something which once was mud? I'm thinking sedimentary rock for fossilised footprints.
