Hi Alea....

Yes,i believe the whole universe was "created" by us
to have experiences........nothing else.

But i don't see the difference between say a human,an ant
or a planet........we can experience what it is to be every
part of the universe......from the microscopic to a galaxy.

Doma.

Hi dig,

The point is that doma's universe is - and I don't mean this to be pejorative - infinitely self-centred.

Everything revolves around the self, or the soul as he has it.

I am pretty much at the opposite extreme.

With perspective about the vastness of the universe, I think we should be more humble about ourselves. Human beings appear to me to be incidental, even if we are capable of contemplation of a different order than bacteria, say.

We can contemplate nature. But if we did not contemplate it and some alien on some other planet with a similar set of capabilities was doing so, the reality of the universe would be much the same. Individually, or even as a species, we are not an essential part of things. We are simply capable of a small quantity of understanding. As an ant within the enormity of space, we should not be so conceited about ourselves.
