My buddies and I were just talking about how great it would be for the company to show a bold move and increase the dividend to a dollar a year while fighting this rough period until the Apple expiration or an ITC victory with resulting licenses. While a share buyback is not as bold because they do not have to actually execute, it is at least a show of cash positive confidence. Our CFO has been forecasting cash positive during the last 2 CC's because of additional upfront milestones with our licensees. We are also in the patent sale mode. Just maybe they can increase the dividend and execute the buyback if the patent sales get large enough. The shorts call these moves desparation, but the true longs know that the company has had the cash to exhibit more positiveness for a long time.
You see if you want to wake up to minor miracles and believe like Tug McGraw, things can and do happen.
They got the street's attention on a lousy overall market day.
