If you drove a Triumph TT then I can understand about your problem with oil leakage. In back of the dorm at school you could always tell where the guys who drove the English bikes parked from the oil stains. The guys with German bikes and those of us who drove 'rice-burners', our spots were always nice and clean ;-)

Harley today has become an icon to some, big and overloaded with high dollar accessories. road bikes, just never had any interest for me, but choppers and such did, beyond harley, many other options, build a frame drop in whatever engine works for ya... Not the same game as the leaky, drippy days of old! Levis that stood on their own, etc..

If I were more ambitious, my old buddy has a barn full of bikes, parts, I could put one together... But... even he's riding a Ducati today... We're all in or near our 70s, not a good time to be banged up... Slow down, let the kids go for it...
