Went for a ride in the GT500/750 a while back... We were out on country roads when he poked it, half a block and we were hitting 140, impressive, but I wasn't looking outside, was watching the boost and speedo/tach.. So docile, but so wild... And under factory or Shelby warranty! Not sure how many SS's are out, but now they can be ordered at your local dealer! recession? What recession?
I've done 145mph in my GTI on 95 south of the Daytona exit. You almost couldn't see stuff passing by. It was ...take off speed almost. And cars on the other side, you could barely register them. If you look at the car in the video, it goes by as if you're doing 90.
