gotcha Micro, thanks.

I thought you were taking a lag in folding, and was wondering what you were seeing that led you to that - makes sense what you described.

I am getting closer to back to normal, thought I was there but still had the CPU at stock speeds, and was getting little to no output from it. Not good for a 6-core AMD and I am not sure why the numbers drop so badly on it at stock speeds. I am trying to find that happy place once again, and lost 5 hours today due to my system shutting down due to the OC. Backed it down a bit and am now testing again, so keep your fingers crossed. . . .

Hi Mark!

I found it when I was setting up my new GTX-460 video card at home.

Everything was lagging when you clicked on it. The scroll slides were very bad lagging way behind when I was trying to drag the slider downward, it took awhile to change web pages, use the BOOKMARKS menu, check the LOG FILEs, etc.

I tried changing the driver and that did not have any effect. I was hoping it would because I was using a windows basic desktop with a plain blue background, that I managed to tile in some pics of my grandchildren to have in the center of my screen! Grandma loves it!

After reading at the Folding Forum Bruce said to use AERO for best performance.

I changed my personalized setting back to AERO and suddenly the lag went away. Gone.

I then figured out how to get pictures back using Aero so I have those as the entire background on the desktop full screen now, changing daily. Cool!

Problem solved.
