1. No one can work their way through certain colleges.

...And there are certain individuals who cannot work their way thru any college. They shouldn't be going.

2. There are schools where no normal person can hold down a job while also studying the material. They'll fail if they try.

...Normal people should not be going to college. If everybody goes, then a college education isn't "special". Normal people should be going to normal schools and learning a trade. Our problem is that we have too many people (the occu-turds for example) who have gone to school on somebody else's dime and now feel that they are qualified to run the lives of the very people who paid for their education which they themselves could not afford. [/b]

3. There are other schools where the tuition is SO high that no student job is sufficient.

...supply and demand. If a school is too expensive, go somewhere else. When "Haavaad" checks their list of prospective enrolee's and finds no one on it, they will make accomodations".

In short, if ya can't be a full time student on a part time job, then be a part time student on a full time job. A college education is like boot camp. It's supposed to separate the losers from the rest.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

ribit,

re: "...if ya can't works ya way thru college ya isn't college material."

No one can work their way through certain colleges. There are schools where no normal person can hold down a job while also studying the material. They'll fail if they try. There are other schools where the tuition is SO high that no student job is sufficient.

The answers are for students to get scholarships, get help from their parents, or go to different schools. That's pretty simple.

I attended American River junior college for a year and a half to meet the lower division requirements for my major, then transferred to a less-than-prestigious university (CSU Sacratomato) where I obtained my Bachelor's.

I worked 20 to 30 hours per week the entire time, paid the bills myself, and never took out a loan (except from my parents who lent me money to buy a car).

So, it can be done. It just isn't fun. But why should it be fun?
