So you're saying that despite the fact that George W. Bush had 8 years to screw the country over, that since Obama hasn't managed to completely turn it around in 3 1/2 years that he has no right to ask the American people to give him a chance to continue the progress that he has already made toward accomplishing that goal, eh?

As for the big price drop, just BEFORE Obama took office, I suspect that if you actually asked an oil expert they might mention that this drop occurred during the same period of time that Wall Street was tanking and that just maybe, this big drop was the result of speculators, like Goldman Sachs, getting out of their long term positions as they scrambled to save their collective asses. And then, AFTER Obama took office, they decided that things weren't as bad as they thought that they were going to be and so they bought back into the game and have gradually driven the price of oil (and gasoline) back-up based purely on their speculative activities and NOT on the actual value of the oil or the traditional pressures of supply & demand, which seems to no longer have much impact anymore.

I had to correct your quote by inserting the word ***BEFORE*** Funny how you got that one word wrong, completely twisting the truth about what Obummer has done.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that this thread started with you trying to give Obummer CREDIT for what he's done to the price of gas. What was going through your head when you posted that?? Why would anyone sing the praises of someone who preside over a 10% price drop when he first presided over a 150% price INCREASE???

We've had consecutive loser Presidents, OCU. That's the only part of this thread that you've gotten right.

We never should have reelected GWB. Too bad John Kerry was the alternative.

We definitely should not reelect Obummer. If we do, I will conclude that the country has masochistic tendancies and will continue trying to eliminate any dependencies I have on it.
