re: 'The reality, I suspect, is that rape is responsible for something approaching ZERO PERCENT of the abortions - unless you count a minor's consensual sex with another minor as "rape."'
I had hoped one of you would look into this since you're undoubtedly going to argue with numbers *I* publish.
But, as is typical of liberals, you didn't look for yourselves even though doing so is pretty easy.
I found that the percentage of rape-related abortions in the U.S. is *AT MOST* 2.7% of all abortions, based on 2008's abortion tally of 1.21 million and 2010's rape-related-pregancy count of 32,101.

That's higher than I expected, actually, but it overstates the real figure since not all rape-related pregnancies result in abortions.
What this tells us is that some figure greater than 97.3% of abortions have nothing to do with rape. Could be a little greater; could be a lot greater.
Before anyone asks, I don't think the morning-after pill plays a role. It kills babies prior to implantation, and at least some medical dictionaries define pregnancy as beginning at implantation. Therefore, when babies are killed via morning-after pill, there is neither a pregnancy nor an abortion, just a dead baby.
I didn't spend a lot of time looking up these numbers. I encourage any of you to perform due diligence and post your findings.
But, again, AT LEAST 97.3% of abortions are unrelated to rape. That's abut 1.18 million of the 1.21 million 2008 abortions performed in the United States.
If any of you care... which I doubt since your modus operandi is to continue using arguments even after you've learned that they are invalid or very weak. But now, at least, we can all know that you know better.
