Not an exact analogy by a long shot, except for perhaps the title and what it came to mean to a lot of people; a story about corporate America and as a kind of symbol for aggressive, overachieving and ambitious businessmen without principles or scruples, like what some people refer to today as a 'suit':

Why would any young person go for Romney the stiff?

Not one of them would take him along to a party. He's a bore, unoriginal, a suit.
