My favorite part of the Bible is where Jesus gives money to the rich, tells the poor to suck it up, and asks for Caesar's birth certificate.
followed by:
Someone needs to write the gospel of Right Wing Jesus. "Don't feed the poor, as that will only encourage the cycle of poverty and dependence"..."don't heal the sick, everyone knows health care is not a right"..."only rich men will enter the kingdom of heaven, as they are the only productive members of society"..."here is my only commandment: keep taxes low on the wealthy"...."don't give anything unto Caesar, just keep borrowing it from your children"..."hate thy enemy (real or manufactured) and drop bombs on them"...and so forth. And of course, Right Wing Jesus would bring the money changers back to the temple, not wanting to regulate commerce or decrease economic liberties, don't you know.
