I suspect that ANY Republican which would be considered as a suitable VP candidate will be thinking to themselves that perhaps it would be better to steer clear for now and bid their time until 2016 when it will be an open primary on BOTH sides. Of course, this means that the GOP may end up with some totally obscure or fringe candidate, like an Allen West or a Michele Bachmann, people who would have no chance whatsoever of running on their own so they risk very little by being part of a potentially losing effort. All one has to do is look at how Sister Sarah has parlayed her 'brush with destiny' into a money making enterprise.
