I suspect that ANY Republican which would be considered as a suitable VP candidate will be thinking to themselves that perhaps it would be better to steer clear for now and bid their time until 2016 when it will be an open primary on BOTH sides. Of course, this means that the GOP may end up with some totally obscure or fringe candidate, like an Allen West or a Michele Bachmann, people who would have no chance whatsoever of running on their own so they risk very little by being part of a potentially losing effort. All one has to do is look at how Sister Sarah has parlayed her 'brush with destiny' into a money making enterprise.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio is indisputably one of the brightest stars of the Republican firmament-- a young, Tea Party-backed Senator with a compelling life story and the sort of rhetorical skills that get him compared to the last young sensation our upper congressional chamber gave us, President Barack Obama. He is eloquent in both the our nation's major languages, reasonable enough to denounce his side's more entertaining loons, and, with more experience, potentially unstoppable as a presidential contender.

So why do Republicans want to irreparably destroy his career by associating him with jelly-spined bore Mitt Romney?
