My oldest is also in 'accumulation' mode at the moment, but as I've built up my collection I've been thinking about how I'm going to disperse it someday, all in one collection or split up.

For things like US Silver Eagles (1 oz bullion coins, 99.93% silver, 0.07% copper) I'm buying multiples both as an investment and thinking that these would make good future gifts for the grandkids when they're old enough to appreciate it.

I've been dispersing my coins and stamps to the kids for years. Makes for easy Xmas shopping.
