Out in Nebraska the state used to cover pre natal care for illegal immigrants. (Agri-biz is the biggest user of illegals and agri-biz runs Nebraska like a feudal feif.) Then the Congressional Republicans got a clause passed in one of its bills that no state using federal funds for Medicaid could provide any service for illegals, period. But Nebraska has another medical program for the poor, and the Nebraska legislature passed a bill funding pre natal care for illegals but the Republican Governor vetoed the bill. Now it is being bill is being supported by the Republican House speaker for an override.
Right to life favors the funding over the wishes of the governor. At least right to life is being consistent for a change.
