ArVee,

I upgraded the drivers from nVidia, went with 296.1 which is what I use in MY OFFICE, but it did not change anything.

I went to Zotac website but did not find any update for the bios there.

I am stuck at 74 percent of the fan speed as max.

At least I have the folding settled down. I am running the shaders at 1986 and stock was 1800. Anything over that and it NAN's. So I think I have it maxed it out.

We'll just have to let it run for a few days and see what kind of output it gives us. I'm just kind of bummed out about the fan speed.

On my GTX460 in my office here I can adjust the fan speed to 100 percent. It is an EVGA. I don;t know if that makes any difference but it seems to, unless this is just a phenomenon associated with the GTX 500 series and higher.

I'll check my mail when I get home.

Thanks for the help as always!

micro...

Nope. Card's BIOS, and can be flashed, was the way I understood it. I'd check first the Zotac site, then NVidia. It was a NVidia initial intentional limitation (again, the way I understood it in passing), but I'd try the mfr. first. My 550Ti's already was beyond the limitation but it might have been a later BIOS already, EVGA being a diff mfr, etc.

YHM.
