But Wave is trying hard. If the increase in sales people does not result in an increase in monthly sales, then the company is in big trouble.
What a poor decision it would have been to hire people in hope rather than simply to follow the demand curve. It has already caused dilution, which in turn should also cause folks to question the forecasting skills of the management team.
But if the DoD deal appears in mid-year and they have presumably had foreknowledge of this, then it is understandable that they wanted to train their sales team in advance. In which case, this dip is a blip and it is just something we must suffer through.
