You are aparently right about Smith and the Olympic collision with the warship. The source that I read years ago was probably talking about close calls with icebergs. The rest of your piece reminds me of one of my ex wives who used to like to quote this phrase: You're telling the story!"

Joe

To say that "God exists" is the greatest understatement ever made across space and time.

Titanic or Olympic........which ship sunk that day?

"Smith had never had even a close call in his career with White Star and the company"

Smith was captain of the Olympic,Titanic's sister ship, when she had a couple of collisions, one a major one with a naval vessel, all documented facts......she was a right off.

The unofficial story is Olympic was switched at the repair yard
with Titanic & it was Olympic that sunk that day & remains at
the bottom.

The fact that JP Morgan cancelled his ticket a few hours before
& that most of the "Rich" that died opposed the setting up of
the Federal Reserve bank is not a coincidence.

Doma.
