I noticed this morning that all of those brand name stations which were selling regular at or around $4.459 a couple of weeks ago are now down to anywhere from $4.359 to $4.259. Last night I filled-up at the Costco near my office and the price was down another 3 cents from last week to $4.149 for regular.
If this trend continues into the summer, it should take the edge off the idea that gas prices alone will be enough to prevent Obama's reelection. Either the GOP and the Wingers will have to find a new 'boogieman' or they may have to go back to rattling their swords with respect to Israel and Iran so as to try and force the price of oil back up.
