Well, I took the issue to the big board. No bites I'm afraid. I think folks have heard it before and they have nothing to add.
It is a genuine issue, in my view. But I no longer obsess about it. I used to think they'd try to take the company private before the fireworks. Now I think that isn't going to happen, but they'll continue to pay themselves more than they should or would if the company was less of a family thing.
As larger institutions come on board, I trust they will keep the family's feet to the fire on this issue.
No argument from me. What the heck is a "guaranteed" bonus anyway, just increase his salary already. It's another example of chicanery. $250K for Peter? Get outta here! For what his connections? It's nothing more than legal theft. And that's the obvious stuff. The Spragues know no shame, they're entitled. And as long as investors passively tolerate it, they'll gladly keep taking -more and more and more. That you can count on. I'll be careful what I wish for, but I hope I live to see them lose control. They and their ilk make me sick. The only thing worse is lily livered investors that won't stand up for their rights. Oh and by the way, yes I'm ticked.
