It's the lack of urgency and/or rather an inability to seize opportunities. Yes, they are dealing with companies of questionable integrity. This should not be a shock and should be expected and be ready for. They had LG and should have had them again, already. As far as i'm concerned if Samsung and RIM are not signed by January 1st legal proceedings should begin including a suit in Manheim Germany. This is an experienced license team, they know what the battlefield looks like, and their inability to make that compelling reason to re-license is maddening!

Lengthy ... lawsuits, substantially progressing unsigned licenses, and now patent sales are undeniably exhausting. The lack of results from all the above though, especially this last quarter, is disappointing. Unless there is a subsequent event, that has yet to be formalized and is being timed for a later release date near the call exists, this quarter was a disappointment especially coming off the 6 month SA with no follow through.

In the meantime, I want to see the Company announcing a new, larger buy back of shares since they are not using the money otherwise. Nortel patents are no longer for sale so that cash build up needs to be used to buy back equity. Announce this news now and not just on the call.

Fuck I need a beer.

see some changes. Until then I think they are doing all they can to bring the infringers to the licensing table.

In IDCC's motion in oppositon to Nokia and their gang's motions to bring forth a domestic industry defense IDCC stated they are willing to negotiate a license with any of the respondents. IDCC is postulating that bring the domestic industry defense is wrong and that the respondents have not requested leave from the ITC ALJ to do so.

All in all until we get a finding of infringement with a injunction, or a settlement we will have to keep fighting.

And Huwaei is crying we won't give them a FRAND license. How would a thief know FRAND if it kicked them in the butt. If a thief didn't steal it they don't want it.
