'Really? A nagging wife who gets the crap beaten out of her by her frustrated husband isn't a victim? A person who goes out walking alone at night in Washington D.C. (*everyone* knows how stupid that is) and gets mugged isn't a victim?'
A nagging wife is NOT a threat, the husband can walk away, get a divorce. 'Beating the crap out of her' is illegal. Period.
If the wife had a knife or a weapon & was threatening physical harm that would be different.
A person walking anywhere on public streets, is not a reason to give a pass for violence. Mugging a walker is illegal. Period.
If you can make excuses for crap like that there nothing more to discuss with you. You have a fringe mentality in this area.
