One detail that I've not heard mentioned of was how long had Zimmerman been going out at night with a gun, albeit legally or otherwise?
It's been reported that in the past few months he had called 911 something like 50 times. If it turns out that he had only recently obtained his 9mm automatic, this would not help his case since one could make the argument that NOW that he was armed, he was tempted to take a more active role in his 'neighborhood watch' duties than in the past when he was unarmed and therefore confined to ONLY calling 911 and reporting what he saw. Now granted, this would NOT go to motive, but it could bring into question his character, that is perhaps being a 'bully', many of whom draw 'courage' from the feel of a gun in their pocket. But then this also begs the question that some people draw their 'courage' from a bottle so I just can't understand why no sobriety tests were administered immediately after the crime scene was secured and there was no fear that this was not part of something bigger that still needed the full attention of the officers on scene?
I tend to agree. Zimmerman escalated the situation, thereby negating the "Stand Your Ground" argument.
But I don't have all the facts. Let's have everyone say their peace, and sort it all out in the end. Too many are playing the race card in this case right now, and not observing the all facts.
