Actually, a bit of an amendment re the CC.

I gave up listening during LG's questions, the answers having been utterly uninformative.

Just scanned the CC transcript and it looks like the discussion improved and actually became interesting thereafter.

I also see that Feeney said the Safend cost was $2.6m, which means there's some sort of mismatch with his preliminary figures, at least as I read them. It also means that Safend roughly broke even on a normalised basis. In turn, this means that Wave's company only loss was around $3.9m.

I thought the Ryan plan had been poorly received even on the right. He dodges the big question - where are the cuts coming from? This was even obvious to Fox News, whose presenter asked him about it.

But I agree re reality. And it isn't just on politics. I'm still shocked to hear folks bibble-babbling about cash flow who evidently have never clicked on the link to review the numbers. And who claim to have a training in business or to have attained positions of lofty corporate responsibility and yet who are completely clueless about financial statements.

The CC yesterday was another case in point. People want to hear optimism. They don't seem to notice the lack of meat. And as I explained beforehand, the company has little interest in providing it. The answers I heard were, frankly, a waste of my time. I am not going to spend an hour of my day listening to adverbs and evasions. Given the lack of post mortem commentary, I assume the rest of the update was of a similar quality. The pipeline is growing like crazy, they say, but no, they cannot give numerical guidance on a quarter that is a few days from completion!
