Down and Out
...we had four golfers all of whom had a complete set of golf bats who were robbed by a lone youth armed with a knife. They was visitors from Boston and didn't know that resisting a robbery wasn't a crime.

BTW, do red state wingers carry their guns on the golf course in case there is a life-threatening dispute over taking a preferred lie.

I'm rather certain some do. As well as some in blue states. Luckily, I haven't run into anyone that is both armed and (so far) willing to pull his piece.

About 25 or 30 years ago I was playing on a municipal course in the "bad" part of town. After hooking my drive way left, I was many yards from my playing companions, who were looking for a ball in the right trees.

I suddenly found myself surrounded by four non-golfing youths demanding money. Seeing no guns, I pulled my four iron as a potential weapon and ran them off.

If that was to happen today, I would make no such move, would expect to lose my wallet, and possibly my life even without resisting.
