History will remember Jimmy carter as one of the greatest U.S. Presidents. He paid the political price for doing the unthinkable; telling the American public the truth, even at the expense of his own personal success.

Placing the good of country ahead of self interest. This is true patriotism and Jimmy Carter exemplifies it.
