On the rare occasions when I go to casinos, I only take the amount I am willing to lose. Let's just say it can take a long time to lose $50 on a nickel slot machine. Cool

While I enjoy gambling, there's no way I could take several thousand dollars to a casino for the purpose of gambling it. I just don't have the stomach for that kind of loss.

Good for him, that he managed to luck into a big win.

My oldest son called me before 7:30 today.
His wife & kids are away visiting her sister.
He had extra 'pick money' five grand set aside (remember he operates tower cranes) & went to the casino with four.

Well, he had my stomach in knots (I hate gambling, too risky) as he told me of his roller coaster ride.
He lost nearly all & decided he always wanted to eat at Emeril's, so went & enjoyed a great meal.
Then lost the rest & went home... and decided to go back with the 1,000 he had kept at home.

He hit on some machine for 12,500, and played some more, lost a few hundred & hit again for 1,500.
And finally wnet home, a winner....

I wish he hadn't told me.
He is a risk taker, always has been, sometimes it works for him & other times it does NOT.
I have always been cautious & practical, he doesn't take after me in this regard.

I know you enjoy gambling & thought you might be interested in the casino, in case you haven't been.
