So when you die, your relatives may never know you even owned stock in the company.

...to avoid confusion, we have taken the liberty of making the CEO of the company the Beneficiary of your stock upon your death. We are sure that is the way you would want it.

With regards to stock, have you noticed:

You never received paper shares of stock anymore.
You seldom get physical proxy statements.
To vote your proxy you must go on line, ie have access to and know how to work a computer, or go to the meeting.
Some companies seldom send you anything to do with the stock of their company.

So when you die, your relatives may never know you even owned stock in the company.
