May be a US thing. I've seen it in physics and acct'g. Often the symbol of an equilateral triangle (Greek Delta) is used in equations and it means the difference/change. My ans. to Dig was for his simple example; I see you got him straight on all the non cash deltas.
As an aside, I'm kinda happy as I just finished a winter project for my grandson - an all wood replica of an Harley Sportster 1200 (just like his Dad's). In Regal Red, It rolls and turns, it's really neat. I done good. Thx as always

Hi tkc,

Where does use of delta derive from? I know delta is used to signify change.

I've noticed many folks use it here, but I'm not familiar with its use in accounting.

Is this a US thing?
