More and more Republicians are not conservatives. They move toward the "center" while Liberals keep becoming more liberal. Many Republicans today would have been considered Liberals a few years ago.
If you are asking who I would choose among Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney ... that's an easy choice to make for me ... Bob Dole, hands down. But, Bob Dole would still be a Republican insider who is not a true Conservative in my book.
