DG, these doctors don't seem to care about the elderly.
He gave her a shot in her hip, without an xray? omg.
I know how you feel about narcotic pain pills, but if they work, don't feel guilt.
Those protective underwear are very good, and in time, she will realize she needs them.
The nurse's last visit is tomorrow. Any chance of keeping her a few more weeks?

We went to the doctor. Mom complained about pain in her hip. I told him I thought it was from an old back injury. He gave her a shot in her hip (about 2PM). At 4:30 she tried calling him and asked that he call her back. About 7 I gave her a narcotic pain pill, which I hate to give her. The doctor has still not called her back. She said she did get some sleep, probably because of the pill I gave her. She wet the bed. She is on a pill that makes her go to the bathroom. I think that because of the pain pill, she slept through the need to go to the bathroom. She put a towel on the bed and changed her gown so I washed everything this morning. I wish I could get her to use the pants I got her for sleeping. They absorb all that and hold it away from the skin. She had to wear them until her sore healed. Oh well...
