Hari,

That's one of alea's posts that I was referring to. dig has been doing a heck of a job articulating and splaining things as well.

The popping part I well understand, as I've been popping for a couple of years in anticipation.

At this point in my journey as a Wave investor I am more than certain that no one knew what they were signing up for years ago. The total scope of this "science project" (orda's phrase)isn't just for machine identity but also includes various levels of trust in the digital identity arena. Not every level of ID credential needs to be stored in hardware but level 4 certainly does. The TPM is one hardware container that can hold that high assurance level credential. SIM cards, SD micro cards can as well.

But those hardware tokens cannot hold a candle to the functionality of the TPM. It as a type of secure element that can do so much more.

All this is techie fluff and in the end it's about making a buck on our investment. I look for this quarter to start to see movement in the volume and SP depending on the DOD/DIB guys. We know the mobiles and Win 8 are down the road. At least how I see it.

Hi 4321,

I'm more excited about the NIST, and Windows, and many other things than the video. I just wanted to point out that I recognized what they were trying to do with it. Strangely, my post on that has now been deleted on IHUB. Oh, well...

I think the biggest issue that many face is that there are so many things that are potentially coming to fruition in the course of this year that it makes it hard to wait for the reveal. I'm about ready to pop myself with anticipation.

Despite my anticipation, I think that Alea wrote a sagacious post a few days ago

So patience is a requirement for an investor. Yet the progress is evident on Wave's top line and the costs of R&D and sales personnel demonstrate that Wave is pursuing its strategy in a disciplined fashion. The longer they can withhold insight into how they are addressing the opportunity the better, as far as they are concerned. It isn't that the opportunity is not broadly known. But if they can help it, they don't want folks to know what their products look like until they are market tested and ready to roll. They don't want people to match their costs against their sales for particular products. They don't want people to know which companies are enrolled in regular purchases of Wave-enabled SEDs and ERAS etc. It suits them to do so. The cloud of unknowing has value to the company.

I hadn't thought of it quite like that.

But I still don't like waiting!
