Hi 4321,

I'm more excited about the NIST, and Windows, and many other things than the video. I just wanted to point out that I recognized what they were trying to do with it. Strangely, my post on that has now been deleted on IHUB. Oh, well...

I think the biggest issue that many face is that there are so many things that are potentially coming to fruition in the course of this year that it makes it hard to wait for the reveal. I'm about ready to pop myself with anticipation.

Despite my anticipation, I think that Alea wrote a sagacious post a few days ago

So patience is a requirement for an investor. Yet the progress is evident on Wave's top line and the costs of R&D and sales personnel demonstrate that Wave is pursuing its strategy in a disciplined fashion. The longer they can withhold insight into how they are addressing the opportunity the better, as far as they are concerned. It isn't that the opportunity is not broadly known. But if they can help it, they don't want folks to know what their products look like until they are market tested and ready to roll. They don't want people to match their costs against their sales for particular products. They don't want people to know which companies are enrolled in regular purchases of Wave-enabled SEDs and ERAS etc. It suits them to do so. The cloud of unknowing has value to the company.

I hadn't thought of it quite like that.

But I still don't like waiting!

Hi Hari,

I'm more excited about NIST actually showing a TPM in
their slide presentation while discussing Roots of Trust for BIOS Protection mechanisms, than the video. NIST shows clearly what they have in mind. JMO

I think we all know and alea has written some "kick ass" posts recently discussing what Wave's trying to do and has shed much needed light on the accounting of last weeks estimate of 2011 losses. Thanks again alea.

We know in the consumer space the chips with the firmware MTM/TPM functionality are in production to support Windows 8 release (devices) for the Fall 2012. Even if the consumer heard about the benefits of turning on the TPM/MTM they are not in the tablets or super phones that they use now. Apple is still a hold out as to whether they will adopt.

How serious is the DOD on the short term to implement WEM for existing PC's after the pilot. If it takes until the fall 2012 to show their intentions then it is going to be cruel and unusual punishment for the SP and Longs unless some ray of revenue sunshine can shine on our favorite stock. JMO
